Beyond work
Most problems are design problems. They live in the relationships between humans, machines, environments and the stories we tell about how things should work.
Robots and interactive machines
Since I was a teenager I have been drawn to robots and interactive objects, things that invite gesture, attention, play, care or surprise. The most important thing about a machine is not the machine itself, but the human relationship it makes possible.
Interactive installation, Museomix 2013
Designers, technologists, makers and storytellers building together under real constraints, in public, in a museum. What stayed with me: a technical object can also become a shared cultural experience.
Photography
Framing, light, patience and attention: a personal practice of mindfulness and perception. See it on Instagram.

All of this feeds back into the work: how I frame products, how I think about robotic behaviour and how I navigate collaboration. Observing carefully and designing with care matter to me as much as writing code.
